Description: This image was made in 1994 while I was shooting a feature on PuppyÕs 1937 Harley-Davidson Flathead in Sturgis. Since we were near Bear Butte, we slipped out to grab a few frames while the light was good. I have photographed Puppy performing this feat several times since we met in the late Ô70Õs. I have actually photographed quite a few people doing this same thing but in this frame, Puppy seems to exude the spirit of what biking is all about more than any other shot I have taken like this. A friend of mine wrote a headline for Puppy that captures that spirit; ÒFeel the FreedomÓ.
